Welcome to the month of November as we get closer to the year 2026. There was a lot going on during the past week. There were a couple of newsworthy items taking place during that time. The first one was YouTube TV not renewing their deal with Disney, which includes ESPN and many more channels. The other news tidbit had a bigger impact and that was SNAP Benefits being cancelled for over 40 million Americans. In the wrestling world, we had Saturday Night’s Main Event where C.M. Punk became the new Heavyweight Champion. We saw a couple of upsets in college football and the first Playoff Rankings taking place on Tuesday. Week 9 of the NFL season was one of the craziest in recent memory. The Lions, Packers, Colts and Chiefs all lost this past weekend.
The NFL trade deadline came and there were quite a few winners and losers after it was over. There were several album anniversaries to celebrate and especially on Halloween. Eightball & MJG’s On Top of the World and Dogg Pound’s Dogg Food albums both turned 30 years old. The Stankonia joint from Outkast turned 25 years old on Halloween also. My playlist was strictly hip hop this past week. The new Joell Ortiz mixtape, Pharcyde, On Top of the World by Eightball & MJG were just a few joints that were played. A couple of days ago, the hip hop world lost Young Bleed of No Limit Records fame. The legend passed away after having a brain aneurysm, but we saw him perform one last time in the Verzuz battle a couple weeks ago. My featured Throwback Thursday track is How Ya do Dat featuring Master P and C-Loc.
How Ya Do Dat was a single from his My Balls and My Word album and it also appeared on the classic I’m Bout It Soundtrack. The legendary Young Bleed was 51 years old. Check out the video for How Ya Do Dat up above. How Ya Do Dat was one of the biggest hits on No Limit Compilation and it appeared on my No Limit Greatest Hits a week ago. Check out the track listing and streams link to the My Balls and My Words and I’m Bout It Soundtrack. RIP Young Bleed!
