Trav’s NFL Week 10 Predictions for 2025 Season

Week 9 is in the books, and we are now starting the second half of the season. The NFL trade deadline was this past Tuesday. There were some winners and losers, along with some big moves to help teams improve. Week 9 had a lot going on, and it was one of my worst weeks ever when it came to my predictions. My Week 9 record was 4-7, and my overall mark drops to 75-45. The winning percentage drops down from 65.1% to 62.5%. My first loss came when the Minnesota Vikings went to Detroit and beat their NFC North rival. J.J. McCarthy made his return as the starting quarterback, and he looked amazing in the win. Speaking of NFC North teams being upset, the Green Bay Packers fell at home to the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers upsetting the Packers on the road was my second defeat.

My third loss is my fault because I chose the New York Giants over the San Francisco 49ers. The Denver Broncos beating the Houston Texans was my fourth defeat. C.J. Stroud got out of the game early after he suffered a concussion. In the most anticipated game of the week, the Buffalo Bills took care of the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen is 5-1 against Patrick Mahomes in regular-season games, and this was my fifth loss. The Seattle Seahawks went to Washington and dismantled the Commanders. Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in the contest, and this marked my sixth loss. My seventh and final came in the Monday Night game. The Thursday Night game will feature a pair of AFC West rivals headed in the opposite direction. The Las Vegas Raiders will head to Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos. The Raiders are coming off a tough loss at home to the Jaguars. Las Vegas enters this game with a 2-6 record, and it feels like they’re battling for draft position. The Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars before the end of the trade deadline. Denver is headed in the opposite direction of the Raiders. The Broncos have a 7-2 record and are currently riding a 6-game winning streak. They have one of the best defenses in the league as they’re ranked fourth in scoring. If Bo Nix can continue to play mistake-free football, this team is a Super Bowl contender. Denver wins as they prepare to host the Chiefs. Broncos Win 27-13

The Atlanta Falcons will take on the Indianapolis Colts in Berlin, Germany. The Falcons are now on a 3-game losing streak after losing in New England after a missed PAT. After this game, the Falcons have a manageable three game stretch before hosting Seattle. Atlanta is currently third in the NFC South and ranked bottom five in scoring. Drake London and Bijan Robinson are two of the best at their position, this is key for Atlanta moving forward. Indianapolis had their four-game winning streak snapped in Pittsburgh. The Colts remain atop the AFC, and they bolstered their secondary during the trade deadline. The Colts made a trade with the New York Jets for Sauce Gardner. Gardner is one of the more prolific CBs in the league and he just signed an extension. Indianapolis should find a way to win in a close one. Colts Win 31-24

The Baltimore Ravens will make a trip to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Baltimore saw Lamar Jackson return to the lineup after being sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Ravens enter this game with a 3-5 record and on a 2-game winning streak. Baltimore remains a couple games behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North. If Baltimore are to make a run to the postseason, they need to continue to play flawless ball and win. Minnesota ended their two-game losing streak by beating the Lions in Detroit. J.J. McCarthy returned and commanded the offense throughout the game. The defense of the Vikings looked energized and motivated against Detroit. How will they fare against Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry? Both teams need a win as they both are looked at as playoff teams. Baltimore was my top team in the AFC at the start of the season. Ravens Win 30-28

The Detroit Lions will head to Washington to take on the Commanders. Detroit is looking to avenge their playoff loss to Washington in the Divisional Round last year. Detroit is coming off a tough loss at home against Minnesota. This is an important game for the Lions because if they lose, they head to Philly with a 5-4 record. The Lions are still one of the more explosive offensive teams in the league. Can they defeat a Washington team without Jayden Daniels? Washington have dropped four in a row, and they are in danger of a horrific season. Daniels will be out for the foreseeable future, and I’d keep him out the remainder of the season. Marcus Mariota is more than capable of leading this team moving forward. Either way, Detroit is on a mission and thinks it will leave Washington with the win. Lions Win 34-20

The Sunday Night game will see a matchup between two playoff hopefuls. The Pittsburgh Steelers will head west to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers. Pittsburgh snapped their 2-game losing streak with their win over Indianapolis. The defense looked much better as they frustrated Daniel Jones the entire game. The Steelers enter this contest two game ahead of the Ravens in the AFC North. Can this Steelers defense get after Justin Herbert like how they went after Daniel Jones? Los Angeles have put together a 2-game winning streak after dropping three of four. The Chargers are dealing with some injury issues on the offensive side. Joe Alt is out for the remainder of the season and rookie running back Omarion Hampton won’t return for a while either. Los Angeles and Justin Herbert seem to always find a way to win and they will here. Chargers Win 24-23

The New England Patriots will head south to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers. This is the Tom Brady Bowl, seeing these are the two teams he played for. The Patriots are riding a 6-game winning streak heading into this matchup. Drake Maye has played his way into MVP conversations with his first half performance. The free agent signing the Patriots made on the defensive side is having an impact on this team too. Can they make it seven in a row? Tampa Bay went into their bye week with a 23-3 win over the Saints. The Bucs enter this contest with a 1.5 game lead over the Panthers. Tampa faces the Bills and Rams the next two weeks over the road. The Bucs could finally get Bucky Irving back for this game. I’m going with Tampa to upset the Patriots at home. Bucs Win 26-24

The Jacksonville Jaguars will make the trip to Houston to take on the Texans. This is a key AFC South matchup between these two teams. Jacksonville is looking to make a playoff run by adding fire power to their offense. The Jags traded for Jakobi Meyers to bolster their receiving core. Jacksonville snapped their 2-game losing streak with a win over Las Vegas. Can the addition of Meyers propel this offense heading into the second half of the season? The big question heading into this game is the health of C.J. Stroud. Stroud is in concussion protocol after taking a big hit in the Denver game. Stroud will most likely not play in this game. This feels like it’s a must win for the Texans and they will rely on their defense. In a close one, I’m picking Jacksonville to leave with the win. Jaguars Win 20-17

The Arizona Cardinals will head to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Arizona is coming off a great win on Monday Night against Dallas. The win snapped the Cardinals five game losing streak. The Cardinals made headlines by naming Jacoby Brissett the starter for this game. Brissett has this offense looking great and the defense was amazing against the Cowboys offense. Can the Cardinals continue their winning ways by upsetting the Seahawks? The Seahawks enter this game on a 3-game winning streak and tied atop the NFC West. Sam Darnold had a perfect half last weekend in Washington. The Seahawks added Rashid Shaheed to their already high-powered offense before the trade deadline. Seattle has one of the best defenses in the league. Seattle is one of the best teams in the NFC and think they win this one. Seahawks Win 34-21

The Los Angeles Rams will head to San Francisco to take on the Niners in a key NFC West matchup. The Rams are currently riding a 3-game winning streak with their last defeat coming against the Niners. Los Angeles and Matthew Stafford lead the league in passing offense. Puka Nacua could make his return from injury in this key matchup. The Rams defense is giving up less than 16 points per game, which ranks them second. Can they avenge their loss to the 49ers? San Francisco rebounded from their loss to Houston with a win over the Giants. Christian McCaffrey is looking like the guy who had that historic 2023 season. The injuries the Niners have compiled are still an issues moving forward. Can the Niners sweep the Rams this season? I’m going with Los Angeles to beat the Niners at their house. Rams Win 27-24

We have the Monday Night game between two of the best teams the NFC has to offer. The Philadelphia Eagles will head to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles are coming off their bye week and winners of their last two games. Philadelphia upgraded its defense during the trade deadline. The Eagles acquired an edge in Jaelan Phillips from the Dolphins and he’s familiar with Vic Fangio and his scheme. How will the offense look after averaging 33 points in their last two games? Green Bay is coming off a tough loss at home to the Carolina Panthers. The offense looked awful and out of sync the entire game. Green Bay fell to the Eagles team in the playoffs a season ago and they’ll be ready. It’s hard to pick against Green Bay at home on a Monday Night. Packers Win 31-27
