Welcome to the first day of the month of May. There was a lot going on throughout the last week. Steve “Mongo” McMichael passed away after a long bout with ALS. McMichael was known as being a huge part of that all-time 1986 Chicago Bears defense. Speaking of the NFL, the Draft took place last week and the talk was about Shedeur Sanders. Sanders was thought to be a first round pick but fell to the 5th round and the Cleveland Browns. With it being the beginning of May, baseball season continues to roll on with the New York Mets having the best record in the league. The NBA playoffs continue, and we have the first 2nd round matchup is set. The Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland swept the Miami Heat, and the Pacers defeated Milwaukee 4-1.
The big question will be the future of Giannis in Milwaukee. The roster isn’t great, and Dame will likely miss next season due to tear his Achilles. My playlist included the Mobb deep Infamous album, the new Wiz Khalifa, and a couple of mixtapes. The big news is hip hop was Outkast being voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Outkast dropped six studio albums, one compilation album and one soundtrack album together. Outkast was named as the greatest group of all time by Billboard on the 50th anniversary of hip hop. Despite not dropping a real album together since Stankonia, we are still wanting one more album from them. We will go back to where it started and that’s Player’s Ball. Player’s Ball was their first single from their Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik album and it’s my featured Throwback Thursday track. Check the video above and the track listing and stream link to the album below.
