Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz What U Gon Do Featuring Scrappy

We are officially halfway through the month of October. It feels crazy that I’m typing that already. The biggest news in sports was the Las Vegas Aces winning their third WNBA championship in four years. A’ja Wilson continues to show why she’s still the best player in the game and one of the all-time greats. Crown Jewel took place from Perth, and this was an amazing show from the beginning to the end. There were debates online because ESPN gave it a B-grade, but it was solid in my opinion. Seth Rollins was hurt in his match against Cody Rhodes, which is why The Vision attacked him on Raw. Week 6 of the NFL season saw some upsets and the parody in the NFL is unbelievable now. The injuries continue to stack up after Fred Warner went down in a season ending ankle injury.

As far as the music news for the week, we lost the legendary D’Angelo to pancreatic cancer. D’Angelo put out the classic, Brown Sugar album back in 1995. AZ and his Doe or Die album and Mystikal’s Mind of Mystikal both celebrated 30-year anniversaries. My playlist this week consisted of the greatest personal hits from 2Pac, Nas, and Twista. The new Mobb Deep was also played along with a couple other albums. Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz and their Crunk Juice album are my featured project. Crunk Juice was the fifth and final album from Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. The album had a who’s who for features and it sold well over two million copies. What U Gon Do was the first single, my Throwback Thursday track and it featured Scrappy. Crunk Juice is an amazing album and one of the highlights of 2004.
