Understanding The Importance of Title IX

Title IX was enacted in 1972 in order to help combat gender discrimination in school athletics. This law led to a large increase in female participants in sports with over three million women and girls in interscholastic sports today. Ohio University’s Online Master of Athletic Administration program has crafted an infographic that breaks down the history and importance of Title IX.
