Future Evol Turns 10 Years Old Today

Future has blessed us all for over 15 years now. He began releasing mixtapes back in 2010 and haven’t stopped since. After dropping nine mixtapes, Future hit us with his debut album called Pluto. Pluto dropped back in April of 2012 and sold over a million copies. Future made quite the impression with the Pluto album making several top albums list of 2012. Same Damn Time was the single that make a lot of people like me a fan of his. Two years later, Future dropped his second album called Honest. Honest went gold and it had a plethora of features. Pharrell, Pusha T, Casino, Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, Drake, Young Scooter, André 3000, and Lil Wayne all made appearances. Billboard and Spin Magazine ranked it as a top 10 albums for 2014. A little over a year later, Future dropped his third album called DS2 aka Dirty Sprite 2.

DS2 is considered a classic and one of Future’s best albums. The album would go on to sell over three million copies. Rolling Stone has named it as one of the 200 Greatest Hip Hop Albums of All Time. There are other publications listing it as one of the greatest albums of the 2010s. Less than seven months later, Future returned with his fourth album called Evol. Evol turns 10 years old today and it went to double platinum. Low Life was the first single and it featured the Weeknd. Low Life is one of Future’s biggest hits after going eight times platinum. Wicked was the final single from the Evol album. It was originally released as a track from his Purple Reign mixtape. The single would go platinum in the process. Evol would go on to sell over two million copies.

Future has been one of the most consistent and hard-working artists ever since he’s came out. He’s released a plethora of mixtapes and albums over the years along with collaborative work. Future last album was a collaboration with Metro Boomin’ called We Still Don’t Trust You back in April of 2024. Evol had some hits on it and below are my top 5 tracks from the album.
