Ruff Ryders Ryde or Die for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to the first full week of the month of September. We are less than two weeks away from the arrival of fall. The college football season is in full swing, and we’ll have a couple of top 20 matchups this weekend. Week 1 of the NFL season was full of fun and Josh Allen pulled off another MVP performance against Baltimore. Major League Baseball is nearing the end of their regular season with playoff positioning and many awards up in the air. If you follow wrestling, then you know the return of AJ Lee to wrestling dominated headlines. Lee retired from wrestling over ten years ago and she’s a lot of this generation of lady’s favorite wrestler. AJ Lee will team with her husband, C.M. Punk to take on Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at the Wrestlepalooza event on September 20^th.

My music playlist this week consisted of the new Offset album, a couple of mixtapes and Top Dogg from Snoop. There were a few others, but my highlighted one is the Ruff Ryders Ryde or Die Vol. 1 compilation. If you were around in the late-90s, the Ruff Ryders crew was a movement. After Death Row and No Limit Records kind of faltered, Ruff Ryders had next along with Cash Money. DMX led the Ruff Ryders, but Lox, Eve, and others were a part of that label. After the success of DMX’s first two albums, they released the Ryde or Die Vol. 1 compilation. The platinum selling project featured DMX, Jay-Z, the Lox, Eve, Juvenile and many others.
