Total Can’t You See featuring The Notorious B.I.G.

Total Can’t You See featuring The Notorious B.I.G. Welcome to the second half of the month of August. In Georgia, we have some days that feel like football weather and ones that feel like the dog days of summer. Speaking of football, the NFL is headed to the final weekend of preseason. Joe Flacco was named the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns heading into Week 1. Daniel Jones won the starting QB job in Indianapolis over Anthony Richardson. Jones signed with the Colts in the offseason after spending time with Minnesota after his release from New York. We are two weeks away from seeing Philadelphia hosting Dallas to kick off the season. In baseball, the Milwaukee Brewers finally had their 14-game winning streak snapped. John Wall retired from the NBA; it was the big news coming out of the league. Wall played eleven season and was the No. 1 pick of the 2010 NBA Draft.

In the music world, The Show Soundtrack was released 30 years ago last week. The Show Soundtrack was one of the many highlights in the 90s and is among my favorite soundtracks ever. The new album by Ghostface Killah is expected to be released on Friday, August 22nd. Supreme Clientele 2 is the name of the album, and he just unveiled the track listing a couple days ago. My playlist this week featured the new JID album, World Party by Goodie Mob, and the Infamous Mobb Deep. Masta Ace, Deeper Than Rap from Rick Ross and a couple others were played. Total and their debut album also made my playlist. Total dropped their self-titled debut back in February of 1996. They had a huge year in 1996 and were featured on What You Want from Mase in 1997. Can’t You See featuring The Notorious B.I.G. is my featured Throwback Thursday joint.

Can’t You See helped propel their album into platinum status. Billboard named the song #28 on their list of 100 Greatest Girl Group Songs of All Time. Can’t You See was featured on the New Jersey Drive Soundtrack a year before their album dropped. Check out the video for Can’t You See up above. You can peep the track listing and stream link for the Total album below.
