It’s crazy to think that I’m less than three years away from being 50 years old. I’ve become more mindful of what I’m eating on a day-to-day basis. Exercise is something I’ve started to do on a nightly basis. During the weekends, I’m waking up earlier to go on a morning walk to get the blood pumping. One of the things I’ve begun to do is look for specific vitamins to take to improve my overall health. There are plenty of places that sell vitamins, but you must find what works for you. My vitamin collection all comes from Swanson. They have an assortment of vitamins that are good to boost your everyday health. Below are some great and helpful vitamins and their benefits to take daily.
Men’s Multi with Iron +Prostate Support
As a man that’s getting older I’ll always look for something that’s good for prostate health. The average prostate exam begins at the age of 50, but start early screenings at 45. While the Swanson Men’s Multivitamin with Iron that supports your prostate isn’t a cure for anything. Studies have shown that men with low Vitamin D levels are at higher risk for prostate cancer. They combine ginkgo biloba, CoQ10, bilberry, ginseng, and green tea with over 30 essential vitamins. I’m currently working first shift and working at night for plenty of years. This vitamin is taken everyday before going to work to give an energy boost. If you want to promote good health start by taking the Men’s Multi vitamin.
Full Spectrum Cinnamon
Throughout the years I’ve suffered from bouts of inflammation. High blood sugar is something that has been in my family for years. The Swanson Full Spectrum Cinnamon is something that’s taken daily also. Cinnamon is good for your heart also. As we get older, our testosterone decreases along with our metabolism. Taking cinnamon everyday can increase your testosterone and metabolism. The cinnamon from Swanson is a different type of cinnamon. Most of the cinnamon you find at the grocery store isn’t “true” cinnamon. Swanson Full Spectrum True Cinnamon capsules supply pure, powdered Cinnamomum verum direct from Sri Lanka.
Beet Root Complex
The Swanson Beet Root Complex is taken every morning also. This goes great with the Multi, Cinnamon and Apple Cider Vinegar vitamins. Beet Root Complex is great to help maintain healthy blood circulation and blood pressure. The Swanson Beet Root Complex supports your cardiovascular system. In the cardiovascular system, nitric oxide acts as a messenger between the inner lining of blood vessels and surrounding smooth muscle tissues. Swanson Ultra Beet Root Circulation Support Complex features a proprietary blend of beet root, spinach and radish. This also has 1000 mcg of B12, which is vital to me because it helps boost energy also.
Elderberry
During this time of the year is usually when I’m prone to getting sick. Anytime between September through February is usually when my immune system suffers. Elderberry was introduced to me when Covid hit my family back in 2021. Elderberries contain antioxidants and vitamins that may help boost your immune system. Some say that taking elderberries daily can help prevent a virus from taking over your body. Swanson Elderberry vitamins contain 460 mg of elderberry fruit and 115 mg of elderberry extract in each serving.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is great for your overall health. Apple Cider Vinegar is something I’ve drank on occasion, but the taste always makes me gag. There are many great benefits to adding Apple Cider Vinegar to your daily routine. It’s great for weight loss, regulating blood sugar, skin, blood pressure and so much more. The Swanson Apple Cider Vinegar vitamins gives you the same benefits without the nasty taste. The vitamins are a high-powered system cleanser and help with your diet. Each capsule provides 625 mg of apple cider vinegar. The Apple Cider Vinegar vitamins are a part of my morning routine before going to work.
