Eightball & MJG are one of my favorite duos ever in hip hop. After hearing their debut album, Comin’ Out Hard it immediately made me a fan. The following year, they released their classic On Tha Outside Lookin’ In. On Tha Outside Lookin’ In is known for the classic posse cut, Lay It Down. Lay It Down is a southern classic and one of the best posse cuts that came out during that time. The year after that, Eightball & MJG hit us with their third studio album On Top of the World. On Top of the World was their first album to go gold and it was another classic. Space Age Pimpin’ was their smash-hit and it’s an all-time classic. Less than four years later, they returned with their fourth album In Out Lifetime. In Our Lifetime would be their final album with Suave House Records.
This album featured a much anticipated collaboration with my other favorite duo in Outkast. Cee-Lo Green, Big Duke, Thorough from South Circle and Gillie da Kid from Million Dollars Worth of Game fame appeared also. In Our Lifetime was their final Suave House album and the first under Universal Records distribution. They released a video for We Started This and it’s one of my favorite tracks from the album. In Our Lifetime isn’t on par with their first three albums, but it’s still a good one. Below are the top 5 tracks along with the track listing and stream link for In Out Lifetime.
