Week 3 is in the books, and it was another successful one on my side. For the second consecutive week my record was 8-1. My overall mark jumps to 24-10. The winning percentage jumps from 64% to 70.6%. The only defeat came when the Colts defeated the Ravens. Indianapolis beat Baltimore in OT to win their second consecutive game. San Francisco kicked the week off by defeating the Giants in the Thursday Night game. Deshaun Watson looked like the same quarterback that had the historic season in his final one in Houston. The defense of Detroit carried them to the win at home against Atlanta. New Orleans built a 17-0 lead over Green Bay, but the Packers came back and won 18-17. Derek Carr injured his shoulder, and he could miss this week’s game. In a historic performance, the Miami Dolphins put up 70 points in their win over Denver.
In a battle between two surprising winless teams, the Chargers beat the Vikings to win their first game. Kirk Cousins continues to shine, but the defense can’t stop anyone. Many people believe the Jets should trade for him and it’s a good idea. Kirk Cousins wasn’t one of the 8 quarterbacks the Jets should sign, but it makes a lot of sense. Buffalo blew out Washington and the Chiefs dismantled the Bears. In the upset of the week, the Arizona Cardinals beat the Dallas Cowboys. On Sunday, the Steelers took down the Raiders in a close game. The Eagles defeated the Bucs and the Bengals beat the Rams in the Monday night games. This week I’ll be predicting another 8 games with the hopes of continuing my winning ways.

We have a battle between the two leaders of the NFC North division. The Detroit Lions will head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. Detroit is coming off an impressive win over the Atlanta Falcons. Detroit is expected to win the division this season. The defense is much improved, and the offense has its share of weapons. Detroit beat the Chiefs on the road in the season opener, can they go to Lambeau and defeat the Packers? Green Bay defeated the Saints last week, but the offense was nonexistent through 3 quarters. The Packers were still missing two of their top stars on offense. Aaron Jones and Christian Watson should return for the Thursday night game. The defense of the Packers has been playing well and with the offense possibly getting on track I’m picking the Packers. Green Bay Win 24-20

We have the first matchup of NFL teams facing off in London. The Atlanta Falcons will battle the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Falcons offense was nonexistent in their loss against the Lions. Atlanta suffered their first loss of the season in Detroit. The offensive line couldn’t protect Desmond Ridder against the stout pass rush of Detroit. On the other hand, the Falcons defense continue to gel and play well with all the free agents they have. Can Atlanta rebound from their first loss of the season? Jacksonville is coming off an unexpected loss to the Houston Texans. The Jaguars were expected to run through the AFC South division. Trevor Lawrence was one of the favorites to be in the MVP race with the return of Calvin Ridley. I’m expecting the Jaguars to put it together and beat the Falcons. Jacksonville Win 30-20

We have the two best teams in the AFC East and arguably in the entire conference. The Miami Dolphins travel up to Buffalo to take on the Bills. As we all know, the Dolphins put the league on notice with their 70-point game against Denver. The Dolphins offense has been unstoppable in the first three weeks of the season. Tua looks like an MVP candidate and the speed of the offense is a beauty to watch. The defense is making the opposing quarterback’s life a living hell. Buffalo lost their opening game against the Jets but have been on a tear ever since. The offense looked great, and the defense forced five turnovers against Washington. Can the defense find a way to slow down Tua and the Dolphins offense? I’m going with the Bills to hand Miami their first loss. Buffalo Win 31-27

We have a battle between two of the better QBs in the league. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens head to Cleveland to face Deshaun Watson and the Browns. The Ravens suffered their first loss last week at home in overtime to the Indianapolis Colts. Baltimore continues to deal with a plethora of injuries on both sides of the ball. Can the Ravens avoid losing consecutive games? Can they continue to play at a high level with all the injuries? Cleveland looked great in their game against Tennessee last week. Deshaun Watson looked great, and the defense continues to cause havoc. The winner of this game will still sit atop the division. This is a tough one, but I’m sold on the Browns and think they will win. Cleveland Win 26-21

We head to the NFC South as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to New Orleans to face the Saints. The Bucs are coming off their first loss of the season after falling to the Eagles. Tampa Bay couldn’t run the ball and protect Baker Mayfield against the Eagles defensive line. Tampa boasts a great receiving core, but they need to run the ball better. On defense, they continue to get after the opposing offenses. How will they play against a possible backup QB? New Orleans will likely be without Derek Carr as he’s dealing with a shoulder injury. Jameis Winston could get the start and it will be against his former team. Winston will also get to show why he should still be starting in the league. I’m picking the Saints to win this game. New Orleans Win 27-17

We head to the NFC East as the Washington Commanders travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The Commanders started the season 2-0 but were decimated last week. The Commanders were blown out at home last week by the Buffalo Bills 37-3. Sam Howell tossed 4 INTs and the Bills forced another fumble. Washington will have to face another team that gets after the quarterback in the Eagles. The defense will have to stop the run and contain Jalen Hurts. Can they pull off the upset? The Eagles are coming off another dominating performance by defeating the Bucs on Monday Night. Jalen Hurts will have to eliminate the turnovers and the defense continue to do what they do. This should be a close game between these two and the Eagles should emerge victorious. Philadelphia Win 26-20

We have the Sunday Night game as the Kansas City Chiefs travel to New York to meet the Jets. The Chiefs continue to get healthy and hoping to show why they’re one of the best teams in the league. Kansas City blew out Chicago last week, but the big news was Taylor Swift showing up to the game. The Chiefs decimating the Bears was lost in the mix. The defense of the Chiefs has held their last two opponents to 19 points combined. Will they get after Zach Wilson on Sunday night? The Jets have lost two in a row, and they haven’t been pretty. Even Jets great Joe Namath has called out the team for sticking with Wilson. Can Wilson and the Jets offense turn things around against the Chiefs? I’m picking the Chiefs to win their third consecutive game. Kansas City Win 24-13

We have the Monday Night game as the Seattle Seahawks head out east to face the New York Giants. Seattle is coming off a pair of impressive wins. They lost their first game against the Rams, but the offense has been unstoppable ever since. They scored 37 points against the Lions and Panthers in their last two games. While the defense is putting up crazy numbers, the defense is allowing a lot also. They have given up 29 points thus far. Saquon Barkley could also miss this game, but the Giants need a win. The defense is giving up almost 34 points a game. The offense has scored a total of 43 points this season. New York was my surprise pick to win the NFC East this season. The Giants turn it around for one game and win on Monday. New York Win 34-24
