Week 2 is in the books and just say that this week was much better than the first week. My record was 8-1, which boosted my overall mark to 16-9. The winning percentage jumped from 50% to 64%. My only defeat came as the Ravens beat the Bengals on the road. Unfortunately for the Bengals, Joe Burrow re-aggravated his calf injury he suffered back in training camp. Last week, we kicked things off with the Eagles defeating Minnesota in the Thursday night game. The Falcons had a very impressive come from behind win over the Packers to go to 2-0. Seattle went to Detroit and left with the win over the Lions in OT 37-31. In another overtime game, the Chargers fell to the Titans to move to 0-2. The Dallas Cowboys forced 3 picks by Zach Wilson on their way to a 30-10 victory.
With the offense having trouble with Wilson at the helm, will the Jets eventually look to sign a veteran quarterback. Here are 8 quarterbacks New York could target to bring in to backup Wilson. New Orleans defeated Carolina on the road in the first Monday Night game. In the second one, the Steelers came from behind to defeat the Browns. This week I’ll be predicting another 9 games with hopes of continuing my winning ways. Let’s get this thing started.

We kick off every week with the Thursday night game as usual. The New York Giants make the trip out west to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants almost entered this game with a 0-2 record. They were down 20-0 to the Arizona Cardinals before coming back to win 31-28. Those types of games can sometimes wake up a team. Unfortunately, Saquan Barkley was seen limping off the field after the victory. Barkley was instrumental in the come back as he scored a pair of touchdowns. New York was my favorite to win the NFC East this season. The 49ers are looking like one of the best teams in the league after two games. Purdy is in control of the offense and the defense is still a problem. I’m going with the Niners to win this one. San Francisco Win 27-17

We have the Tennessee Titans headed to Cleveland to battle the Browns. The Titans are coming off an impressive win over the Chargers in OT. Ryan Tannehill played a very efficient and mistake-free game. This was the exact opposite in the first game of the season. If they have Derrick Henry and a healthy DeAndre Hopkins, this team has a chance to win. Tennessee is currently in a 3-way tie with the Colts and Jaguars. The Browns fell to Pittsburgh after a series of unfortunate plays. Deshaun Watson threw a pick-6 in the first play of the game and fumbled at the end. Cleveland lost Nick Chubb to a horrific knee injury for the year during the game. Cleveland will miss Chubb and he will be missed. I’m picking the Browns to still pull off the win. Cleveland Win 24-20

The Atlanta Falcons will take a trip up north to Detroit to face the Lions. The Falcons have surprised many with their 2-0 record to start the season. Atlanta opened the season with wins over Carolina and Green Bay at home. Desmond Ridder has been good and Bijan Robinson is special. The defense is much better than they were a year ago. How will this Falcons team fare in their first road game? Detroit opened the season with a win over the defending Super Bowl champions. The Lions fell to the Seahawks in OT in their home opener. The Lions defense was exposed by Seattle, so can they rebound against the Falcons? Detroit is my pick to win the NFC North division this year. They need to win these types of games and I believe they will. Detroit Win 31-21

We have the 2-0 New Orleans Saints traveling to Green Bay to take on the Packers. The Saints had a hard-fought victory over the Panthers on Monday to move to 2-0. The Saints defense gave the rookie in Bryce Young fits throughout the game. They also shut down the run game of the Panthers. They will have a tough time stopping the run game of the Packers. Will Aaron Jones be available in this matchup? How will Carr fare against the Packers pressure? Green Bay fell to Atlanta due to a game-winning field goal. Jordan Love has played well in his first two starts. Will the Packers have Christian Watson and Aaron Jones available for this contest? This should be a tough game, and this is one the Packers should win. Green Bay Win 22-17

We have the Buffalo Bills traveling to Washington to face the undefeated Commanders. The Bills responded after their opening Monday Night loss to the Jets. Josh Allen looked like the quarterback we know that he is. The defense dominated the Raiders and forced turnovers. The defense will have to play a huge role against this Commanders offense. Josh Allen will have to continue to make smart decisions especially against this Washington defense. The Commanders look like a different team on offense with the addition of Eric Bieniemy. Sam Howell is looking great, and the defense is making plays when they need them the most. If Chase Young can continue to stay healthy this team has a shot in the NFC East. This should be a close game, but I’m taking the Bills to edge the Commanders. Buffalo Win 26-24

This could be an exciting battle between two of the more exciting quarterbacks in the NFL. Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts travel to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Richardson exited last week’s game against Houston due to a concussion. Richardson remain in the concussion protocol and his availability is unknown as of now. Gardner Minshew relieved Richardson and lead the Colts to the win over the Texans. Can the Colts go on the road and beat one of the best teams in the AFC? The Ravens enter this matchup with a 2-0 record after an impressive win over the Bengals on the road. Lamar Jackson is looking like a possible MVP candidate now that he has weapons. I’m going with the Ravens to win against the Colts. Baltimore Win 27-17

We have the Sunday Night matchup between two legendary franchises. The Pittsburgh Steelers will head to Las Vegas to face the Raiders. The Steelers came back against the Browns on Monday to win their first game. It was good for the Steelers to win, but the offense continues to struggle. On Monday, they scored one touchdown on offense and the defense scored two. Pittsburgh and their offense need to find a way to get things going. Las Vegas is coming off being annihilated by the Buffalo Bills 38-10. The Raiders offense looked out of sync the entire game. The defense allowed Josh Allen to cook and James Cook to rush for over 100 yards. This was just one bad game for the Raiders, but they face another tough defense. I’m picking the Steelers to beat the Raiders. Pittsburgh Win 20-17

We have the first Monday night game as the Philadelphia Eagles travel down to Tampa to meet the Buccaneers. Man believed the Eagles would be 2-0 heading into this matchup, but not many expected the Bucs to be also. The Eagles have still yet to play a complete game on both sides. DeAndre Swift looked amazing last week in the win over the Minnesota Vikings. On defense, the Eagles are dealing with a lot of injuries in their secondary. With them facing Mike Evans, they are hoping the extended time off will help get some of them back. Baker Mayfield has looked great, and Mike Evans is looking like a man on a mission. The Bucs defense has been playing great also so this should be a good game, but I’m riding with the Eagles. Philadelphia Win 24-20

We have the Los Angeles Rams traveling to Cincinnati for the second Monday Night game against the Bengals. Los Angeles surprised many people with their opening week blowout of the Seahawks. We also were surprised at how the Rams hung with the 49ers on Sunday. Matthew Stafford has looked great and the young guys on the team have stepped up. This will be a test for them as they travel east to Cincinnati. Can the Rams send Cincy to their 3rd consecutive loss? The big question for the Bengals must be the severity of the calf injury of Joe Burrow. The Bengals have looked out of sync for most of their two games. Cincinnati can’t start the season 0-3 in the AFC North division. I’m picking the Bengals to find a way to win. Cincinnati Win 23-21
