Recently, there was a discussion regarding who’s the most underrated rapper of all-time. One name came to my mind after plenty of thought and it was Ludacris. Ludacris can spit, he’s witty, has fun and can hit you with some crazy bars. Ludacris is more known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise over the years. Luda haven’t put out an album since 2015. He’s been teasing by putting out random freestyles on his Instagram page. Recently, he was honored with the Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Before that, he was listed as one of the 50 greatest rappers ever by Billboard magazine. This past week, one of the albums that was played was his Red Light District joint. The Red Light District featured DMX, Nate Dogg, DJ Quik, Nas, Trick Daddy and Doug E. Fresh. The album went double platinum adding to his run of platinum plaques.
The Red Light District had five singles for the double platinum project. My featured Throwback Thursday wasn’t one of them and it featured Nate Dogg. Child of the Night was the name and it’s one of the many gems on the album. Ludacris and the late, great Nate Dogg teamed up for another classic like they did with Area Codes.
