Eightball & MJG On Tha Outside Lookin’ In Turns 30 Year Old

8Ball & MJG On Tha Outside Lookin In Released 25 Years Ago

Eightball & MJG is one of my favorite groups or duos or whatever you want to call it ever. Comin’ Out Hard was their first album and it was released in 1993. It was one of the hardest albums and instantly made me a fan of Eightball & MJG. Comin’ Out Hard was like an EP with 9 tracks on the album. Of the nine records, eight was actual songs and Eightball and MJG had a solo record a piece. Armed Robbery, Pimps, Comin’ Out Hard and Mr. Big were the biggest records from the album. On Tha Outside Lookin’ In is another classic from the legendry Eightball & MJG. Lay It Down featuring Crime Boss and Thorough from South Circle fame was the biggest track from the album. Lay It Down became and still is one of the most talked about southern records.

It’s hard to believe that Eightball & MJG On Tha Outside Lookin’ In turns 30 years old today. Honestly, this is one of those albums that you can play from the beginning to the end without skipping one track. On Tha Outside Lookin’ In was one of the great albums that was released in 1994. The following year, they released On Top of the World which made them a household name with Space Age Pimpin’. This is one of the albums that made Suave House Records one of my favorite hip hop labels. We don’t hear too much about Eightball & MJG nowadays. They do some shows here and there and haven’t dropped an official album together in over 14 years. Check out my top 5 tracks from On Tha Outside Lookin In below.
