Kingpin Skinny Pimp One Life 2 Live for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to the first full week of October. There have been a lot of happenings over the past week. The government shutdown dominated headlines as it is still down. Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars in his prostitution case. There were a couple of upsets in college football over the weekend. The Florida Gators beating the Texas Longhorns was the first one of the weekend.

The second one saw previously winless UCLA upset the 7th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. Week 5 of the NFL season was about as crazy as it gets. We no longer have an unbeaten team in the league. Philadelphia fell to the Denver Broncos, and the Buffalo Bills lost to the New England Patriots. The Cincinnati Bengals finally traded for a quarterback by acquiring Joe Flacco from the Cleveland Browns.

In the hip hop world, as mentioned above, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months behind bars. The new Mobb Deep album is supposed to be released tomorrow. The new album is titled Infinite, and it will contain some new verses from the late, great Prodigy. Twista and his album The Day After celebrated its 20^th anniversary on the 4^th of October. All Eyez on Me, the new Jeezy mixtape, and DJ Drama’s Quality Street Music made my list this week. Kingpin Skinny Pimp and his classic King of da Playaz Ball are my featured album. One Life 2 Live is my featured Throwback Thursday track, and it features DJ Paul and Juicy J. I’ve said for years that Kingpin Skinny Pimp’s King of da Playaz Ball is one of my favorite albums ever.

Skinny Pimp was a part of Three 6 Mafia’s Prophet Entertainment, and this is one of the best albums from that legendary label. One Life 2 Live is one of my favorite tracks from the album.
