Ciara Goodies featuring Petey Pablo for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another week as we are about to enter the fall season. With fall being in a couple of days, we get cooler weather and beautiful scenery. The big news of the week has been the killing of Charlie Kirk. The death of Kirk just proves how divided this country is and will continue to be. In sports, the WNBA has begun their playoffs. There is about a week, and a half left in the baseball season before we get to the playoffs. Week 2 of the NFL season was a lot of fun, but we had some major injuries to report. Joe Burrow, having toe surgery and potentially missing the remainder of the season is the big one. Brock Purdy and J.J. McCarthy also went down with injuries. In the wrestling world, the biggest news came when it was announced that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Saudi.

AEW and WWE will hold event this Saturday for their respected brands. AEW will have All Out on Saturday afternoon. The inaugural Wrestlepalooza will take place that evening and it’ll be the first event through ESPN. LL Cool J and his Mama Said Knock You Out album turned 35 years old over the last week. My playlist included three mixtapes, the Long Live the Kane joint and a few other joints. The newest album from Ciara called CiCi also made my playlist. The CiCi album was a nice project throughout. Ciara has been in the game for over 20 years now with the release of her new album. We are going back to her debut album, Goodies for my featured track. Oh has been featured, but we’re going with her first single and title track Goodies.

Goodies features Petey Pablo and it’s my Throwback Thursday joint for the week. The single for Goodies sold over three million records. Goodies” was a commercial success, peaking at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks. It became the longest-running number one debut single by a female artist on the chart.
