Trav’s NFC West Prediction for 2025 NFL Season

Trav’s NFC West Prediction for 2025 NFL Season

We have now reached the end after reviewing the NFC East, North, and South. We turn our attention to the NFC West to see how things will be there. San Francisco and the Los Angeles Rams have been the kings over the last few seasons. The Los Angeles Rams almost beat the Super Bowl champion Eagles on the road in the Divisional Round. Los Angeles made some moves to upgrade their roster with the hopes of reaching the Super Bowl. The Niners had a down year last season after dealing with so many injuries. Will Seattle or Arizona surprise everyone and challenge the NFC West crown? The Seahawks and Cardinals made significant moves during the offseason, too. Who wins the NFC West division this season? Check out Trav’s NFC Wet prediction for the 2025 NFL season.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are my top team as of now, entering the 2025 season. Los Angeles continued to reload around Matthew Stafford. The Rams did release Cooper Kupp but did sign Davante Adams to pair alongside Puka Nacua. The big question heading into the season is the health of Matthew Stafford. Stafford is dealing with an injured back, and those don’t get better as you get older. The back issues with Stafford are something to monitor throughout the season. The defense led by Jared Verse is hungry for a championship. They added Poona Ford on the defensive line to add another force up the middle. The defense is more than ready to challenge the Niners as the best unit in the division. If Stafford remains healthy, the Rams are my favorites to win the NFC West in the 2025 season.

San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco had a down year, and it all began with injuries. Christian McCaffrey didn’t play much last season, and Brandon Aiyuk tore his ACL during the season. The Niners suffered other injuries and which resulted in them not competing in the division. On offense, they committed to Brock Purdy as their future quarterback by signing him to a $265 million contract. San Francisco also signed George Kittle to an extension, but traded Deebo Samuel away. They also brought back Kyle Juszcyk on a two-year deal. To boost their backfield, they traded for Brian Robinson Jr., also. The defense still has the best linebacker in the game with Fred Warner. The defense did lose Dre Greenlaw, Javon Hargrave, and Charvarius Ward. San Francisco still has pieces on both sides of the ball to compete in the NFC West. As of now, I’m picking them to finish second.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals is my pick to finish third in the NFC West. This feels like this year is make-or-break for Kyler Murray. The Cardinals did add a quality backup in Jacoby Brissett. The offense has the potential to be one of the surprising ones in the league. Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to make that jump in his second season in the league. As mentioned, this feels like the season where we see the full potential of Kyler Murray in Arizona. The Cardinals focused on defense in the offseason. Arizona signed one of the premier edge rushers in Josh Sweat. Sweat comes over from Philly, where he had an amazing postseason run on their way to the Super Bowl win. As of now, I’m projecting this Cardinals team to finish third in the NFC West.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are projected to finish last in the NFC West in my opinion. The Seahawks made a lot of changes throughout the offseason. Seattle traded away Geno Smith after being their starter for the last few years. The Seahawks signed Sam Darnold in free agency to be the new starter. The Seahawks traded DK Metcalf to the Steelers and released long-time receiver Tyler Lockett. They signed Cooper Kupp in the offseason to a 3-year deal. How will Seattle and their offense react after having a new look? The defense added Ernest Jones and DeMarcus Lawrence to bolster their defensive line. They kept a lot of their talent on both sides of the ball, but will they contend in the division? As of now, I’m choosing the Seahawks to finish at the bottom of the NFC West.
