Keyshia Cole I Should Have Cheated for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to the first full week of the summer season. There’s a lot going on in the sports world, especially in the NBA. Speaking of the NBA, the Oklahoma City are your 2025 NBA Champions after defeating Indiana in seven games. Unfortunately, in the final game Tyrese Haliburton suffered a right Achilles tear. Haliburton was playing on an injured calf, and he went down in the first quarter with the Achilles injury. Ime Udoka received a contract extension making him one of the highest paid coaches in the league. Speaking of Houston, they pulled the trigger and traded for Kevin Durant the day of Game 7. The Boston Celtics continue to clean house after trading Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. The NBA Draft began on last night and as expected, Cooper Flagg was the first overall pick.

In the entertainment world, Lynn Hamilton who was known Donna on Sanford and Son passed away. Hamilton passed away last Thursday, and she was 95 years old. When it comes to music, the big news Jim Jones trying to reignite his beef with Nas. Jones says he’s better than and had more hits than Nas, which isn’t true. Nas is enjoying his life and he’s on tour and will be in Atlanta next Saturday. My playlist this week consisted of some classic music. Mr. Scarface is Back, Ice Cream Man from Master P and the Above the Rim Soundtrack were played. Keyshia Cole’s debut joint, The Way It Is made the list also and it had its fair share of bangers. The album sold under two million copies and was supported by four good singles. I Should Have Cheated was her breakthrough single and she performed it at the Vibe Awards.

It rose to number four on US Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 30 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Its music video made it to the top five on 106 and Park and remained there for 46 days.
