Welcome to the first week of the month of June. We are getting closer to the beginning of summer. There haven’t been a lot going on the past week or anything I’ve kept up with. The NBA Finals are set to begin tonight as the Oklahoma City Thunder will meet the Indiana Pacers. Oklahoma City routed Minnesota in Game 5 to advance to their first NBA Finals since 2012. Indiana defeated New York in Game 6 to advance to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000. The WWE will be running their When Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank events on Saturday. Some sad news from the WWE and it was the release of R-Truth and Carlito. R-Truth not having his contract renewed hit hard in the locker room and the fans. R-Truth was just a good dude that the talent and fans loved.
When it comes to music, Lil Wayne released a new mixtape ahead of his Carter VI album. Carter VI will drop tomorrow, and he’s announced a tour to accompany the release. My playlist this week consisted of the new Lil Wayne mixtape and a couple other mixtapes. Poverty’s Paradise from Naughty by Nature and The Truth from Beanie Sigel also. Another album that was played was the newest album from West Coast legend Xzibit. Kingmaker is the name of the album and it’s his first one since 2012. Nas urged the legends to drop music, and they responded. For the featured track, we’re going back to the year 2000 and a classic that featured Eminem. Don’t Approach Me is the featured Throwback Thursday track and it’s from his Restless album. Check out the video above for Don’t Approach Me.
