Too Short Gettin’ It for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another week and hoping everyone is doing well that’s reading this. I’m hoping all the moms had an amazing Mother’s Day also. We’ve had a few things take place throughout the past week. WWE had their Backlash event last Saturday and it was a nice PLE with nothing major unfolding. The NBA Playoffs are headed to the Conference Championship round. The Indiana Pacers have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals by defeating the Cavs 4-1. I’m writing this on Wednesday morning, so there could be a couple of other teams joining the Pacers. Boston will host New York, and the Knicks are looking to eliminate the defending champions. The Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum after he ruptured his Achilles in Game 4 in New York. Tatum has already undergone surgery, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

The NFL schedule will have been released by the time this goes live. We already know that the Eagles will host the Cowboys in the Thursday Night season opener on September 4^th. As far as music for this week, my playlist had a few classics in it. EPMD Greatest Hits, I’m Bout It Soundtrack, and the My Thoughts project from Avant was played. The new Too Short album, Moment of Truth from GangStarr, and the Blueprint album from Jay-Z. Too Short’s album titled, Sir Too Short, Vol. 1 Freaky Tales is his 21^st studio album. Short Dawg has been in the game for over 40 years with his debut album, Don’t Stop Rappin’ dropping in 1983. Too Short is known for his favorite word, but I’m going back to 1996 and his Gettin It album. Too Short has had some great albums, but Gettin It is my favorite from him.

Gettin It was his 10^th album, and he teased retirement, but returned with his Can’t Stay Away project three years later. As far as his Getting It album, the project had some bangers on it.
