Who Plays in the 2025 College Basketball Championship Game?

We are now down to four teams remaining in the tournament. The Final Four consists of Auburn, Duke, Florida, and Houston. Auburn held on to defeat Michigan State in the South Region championship game. The Duke Blue Devils used their stingy defense to blow out Alabama 86-65 to win the East Region. In amazing fashion, the Florida Gators make a miraculous comeback to beat Texas Tech in the West Region Final. Finally, the Houston Cougars used their tough defense to dominate the Tennessee Volunteers in the Midwest Region Finale. In the first game on Saturday, the Auburn Tigers will meet the Florida Gators in a battle of SEC foes. The second game will see the Duke Blue Devils take on the Houston Cougars. My Final Four matchup was the same, but had the Vols beating the Cougars. Who plays in the 2025 college basketball championship game?

The Auburn Tigers battling the Florida Gators will be the first game played Saturday evening. The Gators won their only matchup on February 8^th 90-81. The Tigers were the top ranked team in the country and the game wasn’t even that close. Florida pulled off that impressive comeback against Texas Tech to advance to the Final Four. Walter Clayton Jr. has arguably been the best player in the tournament. Thomas Haugh came off the bench to score 20 points, will they have help against the Tigers? Auburn took down Michigan State to earn their spot in the Final Four. Johni Broome showed why he’s one of the favorites to win College Basketball player of the year. Broome was injured, but returned but you could tell he wasn’t 100%. Due to his uncertainty, I’m taking the Gators to advance to the Championship game. Florida Win

In the nightcap, we have the Duke Blue Devils taking on the Houston Cougars. The Blue Devils were impressive in their blowout win over Alabama to advance to the Final Four. Cooper Flagg is the star of Duke, but Kon Knueppel was their star player. The defense from Duke and poor shooting by Alabama is what propelled them into the Final Four. Can they repeat that performance, but against a team that doesn’t rely on the three pointer? When you talk about defense, the Cougars had the most impressive Elite 8 game. The Tennessee Volunteers couldn’t do anything against Houston. Unfortunately, the Cougars weren’t that great on offense either, but the defense carried them to their 7^th Final Four. This should be a defensive game between these two teams. In a close contest, I’m picking the Blue Devils to advance to the championship game. Duke Win
