Ja Rule Always on Time for Throwback Thursday

We are near the end of another week. Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and hopefully you’ve already gotten something for that special someone. There’s a lot that has been happening over the last week. The week began with the news of the unfortunate passing of Irv Gotti. Gotti was 54 years old and known for his amazing production and CEO of Murder Inc. The founder of Murder Inc. suffered a second stroke and eventually passed away. The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and it was one of the most eventful ones I’ve ever seen. Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler, Brandon Ingram, Zach LaVine and many others all have new homes. Last, but not least, Super Bowl LIX took place this past Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs and spoiled their chance at the 3-peat. Jalen Hurts took home the MVP award.

Going back to Irv Gotti, he was responsible for a lot of hits over the years. We all know about Ja Rule, Ashanti, Jay-Z, Fat Joe, and the list goes on. My focus will be on Ja Rule and we’re going to venture back to his Pain is Love album. Pain is Love is my favorite album from Ja Rule, and it sold almost four million copies. This was his third album and the follow-up to his breakout Rule 3:36 project. One of my favorite Ja Rule tracks was the second single and it’s called Always on Time. Always on Time is my featured Throwback Thursday track and it features Ashanti and produced by Irv Gotti. Always on Time became the highest charting single for Ja Rule as a lead artist.
