Brandon Ingram was rumored to be on the move ever since the beginning of the offseason. The Pelicans finally traded him to the Toronto Raptors before the trade deadline. The Raptors weren’t on my list of potential destinations for Ingram. Brandon Ingram signs an extension with the Toronto Raptors to keep him out of free agency this summer. New Toronto Raptors star Brandon Ingram has agreed to a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the franchise. The deal includes a player option in 2027-28.
The deal shows there’s a commitment on both sides. Graham, Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, and RJ Barrett are locked in for several years now. Ingram has been sidelined since Dec. 7 with a significant ankle sprain but is working toward a return in the second half of this season. With the addition of Brandon Ingram, this will instantly help the Raptors and their offense.
What do you think about the new deal signed by Brandon Ingram? Will the Raptors compete for a playoff spot in the East? Leave some feedback below regarding this situation.
