LL Cool J Luv U Better for Throwback Thursday

There’s a lot going on in the world throughout the past week. We have a new President and there’s a cold front that’s sweeping the nation. In college football, Ohio State defeated Notre Dame to win the college football national championship. The Super Bowl opponent will be determined this weekend in the AFC and NFC Championship games. In hip hop, Snoop Dogg along with Rick Ross, Nelly and others received backlash for participating in the Inauguration Ball. Due to the weather and the MLK holiday, my playlist wasn’t as lengthy as usual. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Greatest Hits, the new Redman and The Documentary from the Game were played. Another album that made my playlist was the 10 joint from the legendary LL Cool J. The album dropped in October of 2002, and it received a gold plaque. LL became the first artist on the legendary Def Jam label to release ten albums.

Luv U Better was the lead single for the album. It was a huge success after reaching the top five of three major Billboard charts. This was the typical LL joint with it being a smooth one for the ladies. Luv U Better is my featured Throwback Thursday track. Last year, LL released a new album called The FORCE on Def Jam.
