The Valero Alamo Bowl follows the Pop-Tarts Bowl on ABC. The BYU Cougars will take on the Colorado Buffaloes. The Cougars finished the season ranked 17th and a 10-2 record. Colorado finished with a 9-3 record and finished 23rd in the country. BYU started the season with nine consecutive wins before dropping two in a row. They won their finale against Houston and finished in a four-way tie atop the Big 12 conference. The Cougars finished in the top 20 for scoring defense by only allowing 20 points per game. Colorado was one of those four teams to finish at the top of the Big 12. They lost to Kansas before their finale and fell short of the championship game like BYU. Can Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter cap their impressive careers with a win?
Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will likely be top 5 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Buffaloes passing offense is ranked 4th, but the run game is near the bottom. The defense is one of the better ones in the country. How much of an impact with Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter will have on both sides? Will his off-the-field issues surrounding his fiancée be an issue? Hunter has deactivated his Instagram account. BYU’s defense is also one of the better ones in the country also. The defense will play the pass because of the lack of a running game from Colorado. This could turn out to be one of the better bowl games. In the end, I’m going with BYU to barely edge the Buffs. BYU Win 26-24
