Week 12 is in the books, and we are continuing towards the latter part of the season. The week kicked off with Cleveland pulled off the upset of Pittsburgh. Miami continues to make a play for the playoffs with their third consecutive win. They will travel to Green Bay for the night game on Thanksgiving. In one of the crazier games, the Cowboys beat the Commanders 34-26. Houston continues to struggle after they fell to the Tennessee Titans at home. The NFC West is in shambles after the Seahawks defeated the first place Cardinals. The depleted 49ers were blown out by Green Bay 38-10. In the Sunday Night game, Saquon Barkley rushed for a career high 255 yards. The Eagles beat the Rams 37-20 to take a three-game lead in the NFC East. The Monday Night game saw the Ravens go to Los Angeles and beat the Chargers.
My Week 12 picks earned me a 5-2 record and my overall mark goes to 69-41. My winning percentage rose a little from 62.1% to 62.7%. We have games being played on Thanksgiving and one on Friday afternoon on Amazon Prime Video. I’ll be picking a total of 10 games this week. Check out Trav’s Week 13 NFL picks below.

We have an NFC North battle to kick things off on Thanksgiving. The Chicago Bears will head to Detroit to take on the Lions. Chicago is in the midst of a five-game losing streak. During that streak, they lost on a Hali Mary, blocked field goal attempt and in OT. This is the first of their 3-game road trip with stops in San Francisco and Minnesota afterwards. Can the Bears find a way to end their losing streak in Detroit? The Lions is arguably the best team in the league after winning nine straight. While they’re known for putting up a lot of points, the defense is just as good. They have allowed 12 points in their last two games and 63 in the last five. I’m going with the Lions to continue winning. Detroit Win 34-21

We have an NFC East matchup for the evening Thanksgiving game. The New York Giants will head to Dallas to face the Cowboys. The Giants have had a lot going on with their franchise over the past couple weeks. They benched Daniel Jones and eventually released him. Tommy DeVito was named the starter and he could miss this game due to an injured forearm. Would Drew Lock be a better option for the Giants moving forward? Dallas ended their five-game losing streak last weekend with a win over Washington. Despite having such a disappointing season, the Cowboys can get back into playoff contention with a win. Cooper Rush is starting to get a feel for the offense and the defense still has room to grow. I’m going with the Cowboys to make it two in a row. Dallas Win 26-17

The nightcap for Thanksgiving games should be one of the better games of the week. The Miami Dolphins make the trip to Lambeau Field to battle the Green Bay Packers. Look out, the Miami Dolphins have won three games in a row. Ever since Tua returned, the Miami offense has looked like what we expected from them. The offense has put up 91 points in those three games while the defense gave up 49. Can they make it four in a row? Green Bay comes into this game having won six of their last seven games. They are trying to keep pace with the 10-1 Lions and 9-2 Vikings. They still must go on the road to face both teams this year. Can they take down the Dolphins? I’m picking the Packers for the weather. Green Bay Win 20-17

We have the Friday evening game on Amazon Prime Video between AFC West rivals. The Las Vegas Raiders will head to Arrowhead to battle the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders are on a 7-game losing streak heading into this game. They lost Gardner Minshew for the year due to a broken collarbone. The defense is one of the worst in the league in scoring. Las Vegas plays the Chiefs well, but can they upset them? The Chiefs fell to the Bills a couple of weeks ago for their first loss. Last week in Carolina, they barely made it out with the win. The last couple of games show that the defense is having issues. Can the Chiefs get those issues under control for their game against Las Vegas? This will be a good one, but the Chiefs win. Kansas City Win 27-13

We have the Los Angeles Chargers making the long trip to Atlanta to battle the Falcons. The Chargers had their 4-game winning streak snapped on Monday Night against Baltimore. They lost J.K. Dobbins to a knee injury and he will miss this game because of it. Gus Edwards is a quality running back and should fit in fine on the offense. Despite the defense being ranked #1 in points, they’ve given up 57 points in the last two games. The Atlanta Falcons are coming off their much-needed bye week. They dropped their last two games, and the bye week came at the perfect time. The Falcons were once considered to be a Super Bowl contender, but they are struggling lately. Can they end their losing streak? I’m on the Chargers bandwagon and think they will win. Los Angeles Win 30-28

We have a battle of AFC North playoff hopefuls in this one. The Pittsburgh Steelers will head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. The Steelers had their five-game winning streak snapped in Cleveland last weekend. The loss now has them half a game ahead of Baltimore for first place in the division. Pittsburgh has been having issues with scoring touchdowns in the last couple of games. Moving forward, they will need to address that if they hope to make a deep playoff run. Cincinnati basically needs to win out for any shot at the playoffs. They have dropped three of their last four games. The offense has done their part by scoring an average of 34 points in three games. The defense has given up an average of 31 points during those three games. I’m going with the Bengals to upset them. Cincinnati Win 27-24

We have the Arizona Cardinals making the cross-country trip to Minnesota to face the Vikings. Arizona had their four-game winning streak last week in Seattle. The loss left the Cardinals and Seahawks tied atop the NFC West. Arizona will get their chance at revenge next week at home against the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals control their own destiny as they try to win the division. New England, Carolina, the Rams and 49ers are their final four games. Minnesota has a lot to play for also seeing they’re only a game behind Detroit. The Vikings are riding a four-game winning streak coming into this game. This is the first of their three-game home stand. They have Atlanta and Chicago in the next two weeks. This should be a great game and I’m going with the Vikings to win. Minnesota Win 31-21

We have one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles will head to Baltimore to battle the Ravens. Many have called this a potential Super Bowl matchup. This is a battle of the two best running backs in the league. Philadelphia is riding a seven-game winning streak and Saquon Barkley is a big reason for that. Can the Eagles continue their winning streak on the road against Baltimore? How will the Eagles offense slow down Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry? Baltimore is coming off an impressive win on the road against the Chargers. Lamar Jackson is having another MVP season, but the defense is the issue. The Ravens defense is giving up almost 25 points per game. Can they contain Saquon Barkley and the Eagles offense? This is a tough one, but the Eagles are the better team. Philadelphia Win 24-21

We have the Sunday Night game between a pair of teams headed in the opposite direction. The San Francisco 49ers will head to Buffalo to battle the Bills. The 49ers enter this game with a 5-6 record and a lot of injuries. San Francisco is hoping Brock Purdy can return after missing last week’s game. The Niners All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner has been playing on a fractured ankle. The Niners are desperate for a win as they’re a game out of first place. Buffalo is arguably the best team in the AFC right now. They are coming off their bye week after winning six games in a row. Josh Allen is playing at an MVP level and they’re looking to get closer to clinching the division. The Bills will make it eight in a row in a possible snowstorm. Buffalo Win 31-21

We have the Monday Night game as the Cleveland Browns head to Denver to face the Broncos. The Browns are coming off their upset win over Pittsburgh. Cleveland is having a horrible season, but they are good at playing spoiler. They took down Baltimore a few weeks ago and looking to do the same against Denver. Can the Browns defense slow down Bo Nix and the Broncos offense? Can the offense move the ball against the stout Denver defense? Bo Nix has closed the gap on the offensive rookie of the year award with Jayden Daniels. The offense is efficient despite the numbers saying otherwise. The defense is one of the best in the league as they’re allowing less than 17 points per game. I’m picking the Broncos to win their third consecutive game. Denver Win 24-17
