Trav’s Week 13 College Football Picks

Trav’s Week 13 College Football Picks

Week 12 is in the books, and we are getting closer to the end of the season. My Week 12 picks garnered a 4-1 record last week. My overall record is 60-23. My winning percentage rises a little from 71.8% to 72.3%. The Arizona State Sun Devils going to Kansas State and blowing out the Wildcats was my only defeat. In a huge SEC battle, the Georgia Bulldogs took down the Tennessee Volunteers 31-17. With the win, Texas and Texas A&M are the only SEC teams with one loss in the conference. They both have a pair of conference games remaining and they meet each other in the season finale. Oregon remains undefeated after barely escaping Wisconsin with the 16-13 win. BYU suffered their first defeat of the season after falling to Kansas at home.

SMU continues to be the only ACC team without a loss after taking down Boston College. The Mustangs finish their season on the road in Virginia and at home against California. Colorado continues their successful season after blowing out the Utah Utes. The Buffaloes control their own destiny in playing in the Big 12 championship game. The LSU Tigers continue to slide after dropping their third consecutive game. The loss in Florida eliminated them from anything related to the playoffs or conference title game consideration. This week I’ll be predicting around seven games. Check out Trav’s Week 13 college football picks below.

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe have a battle between two top 5 ranked teams out of the Big Ten. The 5th ranked Indiana Hoosiers will head to Columbus to battle the 2nd ranked Buckeyes. If the Hoosiers win, they get closer to playing in the Big Ten Championship game. If the Buckeyes win, they are a Michigan win away from a possible rematch with Oregon in the Big Ten title game. The Hoosiers have been the biggest surprise in college football this season. The playoffs await them along with a Big Ten Conference championship appearance if they win. Ohio State was thought to be in this position after spending a lot of money in the transfer portal. They have the top ranked scoring defense in the country by only allowing a little over 10 points a game. In a tough one, Ohio State will win this one. Buckeyes Win 31-20

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe have another top 20 matchup as the 18th ranked Army Black Knights head to Notre Dame to face the 6th ranked Fighting Irish. The Army Black Knights come into this game undefeated and ranked in the top 20. This is all due to them having the top rushing offense and one of the best defenses in the country. The Black Knights put up over 330 yards a game on the ground. Can the Irish stop this Army rushing attack? Notre Dame are a couple wins away from clinching a berth in the new college football playoffs. The Fighting Irish also rely on a stingy defense and great ground game. The Fighting Irish defense is also top 5 in scoring. Will the Irish hand Army their first defeat of the season? In a good game, I’m still going with Notre Dame in a close one. Fighting Irish Win 24-17

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe have a top 25 matchup between a pair of Big 12 teams. The 14th ranked BYU Cougars will head to the desert to battle the 21st ranked Arizona State Sun Devils. BYU suffered their first loss last week at home against the Kansas Jayhawks. This was their first loss of the season after winning the previous four one score games. BYU is still on track to play in the Big 12 conference championship game. They will need to win this one and their game against Houston next weekend. Arizona State has come out of nowhere after winning three in a row. The Sun Devils still have an outside shot at the Big 12 championship. Can Arizona State make it four in a row this weekend? I’m on their bandwagon and I’m a fan of Cam Skattebo. Sun Devils Win 26-20

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe head to the SEC as the 9th ranked Ole Miss Rebels head to Florida and battle the Gators. Ole Miss is coming off their bye week after playing their best ball. The Rebels dominated the Bulldogs a couple weeks ago when Georgia came to town. Jaxson Dart has played his way into Heisman consideration. The defense is as aggressive and stout as they get. The defense ranked 5th in scoring in the nation and they showed why against Georgia. Florida is one win away from becoming bowl eligible. They finish the season at home against this Ole Miss team and on the road at Florida State. The Gators have dealt with a lot of injuries but were able to beat LSU last weekend. Can they upset the Rebels? I’m going with Ole Miss to win. Rebels Win 31-21

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe head back to the Big Ten as the 4th ranked Penn State Nittany Lions head to Minnesota to meet the Golden Gophers. The Nittany Lions still have an outside chance of reaching the Big Ten Championship game. If not, they will still reach the college football playoffs with an at-large bid. The defense continues to get after opposing quarterbacks and wreak havoc. Can they pick up the tough road win in a tough environment? Minnesota had their four game winning streak last week at the hands of Rutgers. The Golden Gophers don’t get a lot of attention, but they are a scrappy team. The defense is one of the more physical groups in the conference. Can they pull off the huge upset at home against the Nittany Lions? I’m going with Penn State in what could be a close game. Nittany Lions Win 23-17

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksWe head to ACC country with a battle between a pair of teams with three conference losses. The Pittsburgh Panthers will head down to Louisville to take on the Cardinal. After starting the season 7-0, the Panthers have lost three games in a row. It seems after they were blown out by SMU, they forgot how to win. Pitt lost their last two games by one possession to Virginia and Clemson. Can they end their losing streak? Louisville suffered a tough loss at Stanford last week. The week before, they pulled off the upset of Clemson on the road. The game against Pitt is critical seeing they finish their season at Kentucky. Louisville is looking to finish the season with 8 wins to build momentum for next season. I’m going with Louisville to make it four losses in a row for Pitt. Cardinal Win 34-27

Trav’s Week 13 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 13 College Football PicksFor the final game of the weekend, we will head back to SEC country for this one. The Vanderbilt Commodores will head to Louisiana to battle the LSU Tigers. Vanderbilt has been one of the many surprises in college football this season. It started when they pulled off the upset of Alabama earlier in the season. They almost pulled off another upset against Texas a few weeks back. Can they avenge their dominating loss against South Carolina? LSU is in shambles after losing three in a row. They went from potential SEC championship and playoff appearance to trying to finish the season on the right foot. Can the Tigers find a way to end their three game losing streak? Can Coach Brian Kelly finish the season on a positive note? I’m still a believer of LSU and think they will win. Tigers Win 31-21
