Trav’s Week 11 College Football Picks

Trav’s Week 11 College Football Picks

Week 10 is in the books and tonight the first College Football rankings are to be unveiled. Oregon will be the unanimous number one team when the rankings seeing they’re arguably the most complete team. The rest of the field will be up for grabs. My Week 10 picks garnered a 7-2 record. My overall mark rises to 49-20 with my winning percentage goes from 70 to 71%. South Carolina handed Texas A&M their first SEC loss by defeating them 44-20. The second defeat saw another road underdog in Louisville go to Clemson and beat the Tigers 33-21. We had three previously unbeaten teams this past weekend. Ohio State went on the road to Penn State and handed the Nittany Lions a 20-13 defeat. Texas Tech shocked Iowa State on the road and beat the Cyclones 23-22. SMU destroyed Pitt to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season.

The SMU Mustangs and Miami Hurricanes remain the only two teams in the ACC without a conference loss. With the Cyclones losing, only the BYU Cougars remain the only Big 12 team without a conference loss. With Penn State going down, the Oregon Ducks and Indiana Hoosier remain the only Big Ten teams without a conference loss. There is a lot of football to be played before we get to the conference championships and playoffs. We will pick another eight games for this weekend. Check out Trav’s Week 11 college football picks below.

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksThe big game of the week takes place in the SEC. The 2nd ranked Georgia Bulldogs head to Mississippi to battle the 16th ranked Ole Miss Rebels. Georgia continues to find ways to win despite Carson Beck’s turnover issues. The Bulldogs need to establish a run game to help with the passing attack. The defense continues to come up big and they will be tested by the Rebels offense. Can the Bulldogs get over another tough hurdle on their way to a possible SEC title game appearance? Ole Miss is mostly like not making the playoffs, but they can play spoiler. The Rebels and Jaxson Dart can score with the best of them. They average 42 points per game and that ranks them 4th in the nation. This is a tough one, but I’m still going to roll with Georgia. Bulldogs Win 31-30

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksThis has always been one of the biggest games in the SEC every year. The 11th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide travel to LSU to battle the 14th ranked Tigers. Alabama finally got back on track two weeks ago with their 34-0 win over Missouri. Before that, the Tide had a 3-game stretch where they didn’t look good. Two of those games ended up in losses with one of them being against Vanderbilt. Can the Tide get the huge road win? LSU had their 6-game winning streak snapped last week at Texas A&M. Like Alabama, the Tigers still have an outside chance of making the playoffs. With help and winning the remainder of their games they could reach the SEC Championship game. How will LSU respond to their loss from a week ago? I’m going with Alabama to get this road win. Crimson Tide Win 27-24

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe have the 4th ranked Miami Hurricanes heading to Georgia Tech to battle the Yellow Jackets. Miami is headed to a berth in the ACC Championship game. They have their eyes on the playoffs and a potential national championship. The offense is scoring over 47 points a game which ranks 2nd in the nation. The defense is still a work in progress, but they make critical plays when needed. How will this defense fare against this Yellow Jackets offense? Georgia Tech is seeking their 6th win to become bowl eligible. They have dropped two in a row and only scored a combined 19 points in those games. The Yellow Jackets will be desperate for a win in their last three games. With Georgia being their final game, there best chance comes next weekend against N.C. State because they’ll lose this one. Hurricanes Win 41-24

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head back to the SEC as the Florida Gators head to Texas to battle the 5th ranked Longhorns. Florida is in the middle of a tough stretch to finish the season. They lost to Georgia last week and after this game they have a couple of tough games. They finish the season at Florida State, but they have home games with LSU and Ole Miss before that. Can the injured Gators get two wins in their final four games? Texas is coming off a tough win on the road at Vanderbilt. Texas is stacked on both sides of the ball. The offense puts up 39 points a game while the defense gives up less than 12. Can the Longhorns take advantage of a depleted Gators team at home? I’m rolling with Texas to win this game. Longhorns Win 34-20

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head to the Big Ten as the Michigan Wolverines head to Indiana to face the undefeated 8th ranked Hoosiers. Michigan was the national champions a year ago. They come into this game with a 5-4 record. They need to win one of their final three games to even become bowl eligible. They finish the season against Northwestern and on the road at Ohio State. Seeing how much the offense has struggled, the defense is still capable of dominating. Indiana is one of the five remaining unbeaten teams in the country. They have been doing it on both sides of the ball. The offense is 3rd in the nation in scoring while the defense is top 10 allowing under 14 points. Indiana travels to Ohio State in two weeks to decide who plays Oregon in the Big Ten Championship game. Hoosiers Win 31-20

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head back to the SEC as the South Carolina Gamecocks head to Vanderbilt to battle the 24th ranked Commodores. South Carolina is coming off handing Texas A&M their first SEC loss of the season. In that game, the Gamecocks put on a clinic on both sides of the ball. Despite three losses, they rank in the top 20 in scoring defense. In two of those losses, they lost by a combined 5 points to Alabama and LSU. Vanderbilt has been one of the surprise teams in the country this season. They shocked everyone by upsetting Alabama after dropping their two previous games. Vanderbilt is a tough and gritty team that can compete with anyone. This matchup against South Carolina should be one of the better games this weekend. In a tough one, I’m going with South Carolina to leave with the win. Gamecocks Win 31-27

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head back to the Big Ten as the Washington Huskies head to Penn State to battle the 6th ranked Nittany Lions. Washington is coming off a win over the USC Trojans. The win snapped their two game losing streak. The Huskies still need one win to become bowl eligible. They still have UCLA at home and Oregon on the road to finish the season. Can they upset the Nittany Lions on the road? Penn State is coming off a very disappointing loss at home to Ohio State. Despite the loss, the Nittany Lions can still find their way into the playoffs. The defense is still one of the best in the country and the offense has its moments. Can the Nittany Lions avoid a letdown and take care of Washington? I’m going with Penn State to rebound from their defeat. Nittany Lions Win 34-20

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head to the Big 12 as the 21st ranked Colorado Buffaloes head to Texas Tech to face the Red Raiders. Colorado comes into this game looking to find a way to get into the conference championship game. Shedeur Sanders is arguably the best quarterback in the country. With Travis Hunter, he’s a star on both sides of the ball and should be a Heisman Trophy finalist. Can they get the win on the road against a team with a bad defense? Texas Tech is coming from handing Iowa State their first loss of the season. The win ended their two game losing streak in the process. With these two teams, this feels like this could turn into a shootout. If so, I’m trusting the Colorado defense a little more than the Texas Tech offense. Buffaloes Win 41-31

Trav’s Week 11 College Football PicksTrav’s Week 11 College Football PicksWe head to the SEC for the final matchup of this weekend. The Oklahoma Sooners head to Missouri to face the Tigers. To say that the Sooners first year in the SEC is a disaster is an understatement. Oklahoma have dropped four of their five conference games. The Sooners ended their 3-game losing streak last week by defeating Maine. They lost to Texas, South Carolina and Ole Miss by a combined 95-26. Can they upset their old Big 8 rival? Missouri was once a top 10 team earlier in the season. They were blown out by Texas A&M over a month ago. They dropped their second game at Alabama 34-0 a couple weeks ago. These two teams need a confidence booster. Missouri is the better team, but how will they respond to being shut out? I’m rolling with Missouri to win this one. Tigers Win 27-14
