One of the albums that was on my playlist this week was the Hard album by Jagged Edge. Jagged Edge was one of the best R&B groups from the 90s. They released their first album, A Jagged Era, back in October of 1997. They dropped their second album two years later after going gold. J. E. Heartbreak was the name of the album, and it was an instant classic. The album went double platinum off the strength of hits like He Can’t Love U, Let’s Get Married, and Promise. About a year and a half later, they released their third project called Jagged Little Thrill. Where the Party At was their big hit featuring Nelly, and it became one of their most popular songs. Two years later, Jagged Edge released their fourth album called Hard. Hard dropped in October of 2003, and their first single was called Walked Outta Heaven.
Walked Outta Heaven is my featured Throwback Thursday track of the week. Walked Outta Heaven helped the Hard album sell almost a million copies. This is another classic Jagged Edge record. Check out the video for Walk Outta Heaven above. Below, you can check out the track listing and stream link for the Hard album.
