MC Eiht is one of the more respected rappers ever. Eiht got his start as part of the group Compton’s Most Wanted. They released their first group effort back in 1990. Compton’s Most Wanted would drop albums in 1991 and 1992. MC Eiht was the first member of the group to drop a solo album and it was released in 1994. We Come Strapped was the name of the album and on July 19th, the album will officially turn 30 years old. We Come Strapped was produced mostly by MC Eiht and his Compton’s Most Wanted crew. Eiht has released a total of 18 studio albums in his career and this one is his most successful one. There were two singles released off the album and one of them is called All for the Money. All for the Money is my featured Throwback Thursday track for the week.
For the newer fans, MC Eiht was featured on Kendrick Lamar’s classic album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. He was featured on the track M.A.A.D City with his signature flow. MC Eiht continues to put out quality music till this day. Since 2020, he has dropped four albums with the latest one being called Lessons 2. Lessons 2 was released in May of 2023 and it was another solid project. Check out the video for the All for the Money up above.
