Michael Jackson has been called one of the greatest entertainers of all time. His concerts and performances have been called legendary. Jackson has been referred to as “The King of Pop”. Unfortunately, Michael Jackson passed away in June of 2009 at the age of 50. Jackson released ten studio albums, five soundtrack albums, thirty-five compilation albums, ten video albums and seven remix albums. Michael Jackson’s platinum album run started with his Off the Wall album back in 1979. In the United States alone, the Off the Wall album sold over 9 million copies. Three years later, Jackson hit us with one of the most influential albums of all time. Thriller was released in November of 1982, and it sold over 34 million copies in the United States. The number of albums Thriller sold is well over 70 million worldwide. The Thriller album is still talked about after 40 years.
Almost five years later, Michael Jackson dropped his seventh studio album, and it was called Bad. Bad continued his run of platinum albums by selling another 11 million in the United States. Bad went on to sell over 35 million records worldwide and is viewed as another influential project from Jackson. Bad has made countless lists calling it one of the greatest albums ever. What’s even crazier is that almost every song on the album was released as a single. One of the singles from this album is going to be my featured Throwback Thursday joint of the week. Man in the Mirror is that track and the video is one of my favorite ones ever. Man in the Mirror is a very powerful song, and the video is just as powerful. Check out the video above. Check out the track listing and stream link to the Bad album below.
