2 Chainz is one of the more accomplished rappers of this generation. Chainz got his start as Tity Boi, and he was signed with Ludacris as part of the Playaz Circle. In 2011, he decided to change his stage name to 2 Chainz seeing it as more family friendly. In 2012, 2 Chainz released his debut solo album titled Based on a T.R.U. Story. The album went platinum, and he became another big star in the Atlanta rap scene. Fast forward about seven years later and 2 Chainz released my favorite album from him. Rap or Go to the League was the name of the album and you can stream it here. Rap or Go to the League featured Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, E-40, Young Thug, Travis Scott, and many more. This was a monumental album from 2 Chainz, and he got Lebron James to executive produce it.
For the most part, this album was well-received by fans and critics alike. Chainz set the tone for the album with the first track called Forgiven featuring Marsha Ambrosius. Threat 2 Society and Rule the World are a pair of tracks that stick out also. Rap or Go to the League debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart. This became 2 Chainz’ fifth consecutive US top-ten album on the chart. The album also debuted at number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, becoming his third album to top the chart.
