Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What we choose to eat for breakfast will impact our day and even our health. I’ve been guilty of not making healthier choices when it comes to breakfast. Since moving from nightshift to days, my breakfast choices weren’t healthy. There are so many options, but I’m always strapped for time. Recently, Naked Nutrition came out with a new Almond flavored protein powder. This vegan almond protein powder is made from whole almonds. There are many health benefits when it comes to almonds. When you make them into a protein powder it has many more benefits. My mornings now consist of making an Almond Flavored Protein shake. First, the only thing I’m doing is adding almond milk to the protein powder. Below are 4 benefits to having almond protein shakes for breakfast.
Quick and Convenient
It seems like there is never enough time for me to do things. This is something I’ve vowed to do better soon. My almond protein shake is quick and convenient. There are times that I’ve gone without breakfast. There are other times I’d stop at a fast-food place and grab something unhealthy. When grabbing that unhealthy breakfast, I’m usually getting a nice coffee or soda to wash it down. My almond protein shake consists of only three ingredients, almond milk, almonds, and Naked Nutrition Almond Powder. There are times when Flaxseed is added, but it’s not time consuming. You put them together, throw it in a blender and you’re done. There are mornings I’ll make it on my way out, but I’m in the office early so I’ll have breakfast there.
It Actually Fills Me Up
Protein shakes are a great way to curb those unwanted cravings. It leaves me feeling full until lunch and even dinner after getting home. Protein may also improve blood sugar control, which can help decrease symptoms of low blood sugar, including hunger.
Nutritious
Protein shakes can help add some extra vitamins and minerals to your diet. You are already getting a good amount of nutrients in protein shakes, but you can add to it. Seeds, nuts, yogurt, herbs, and spices can make your protein shake more nutritious.
Helps With Controlling Weight
Many don’t know that increasing your protein intake can help with weight loss. Try having protein shakes for breakfast and see how much your metabolism increases. When your metabolism increases you will burn more calories. After work I’m now going to the gym, which is unheard of for me. Increasing your intake of protein could support weight loss. However, some ingredients in your protein shake may be high in calories, which could lead to weight gain.
My Preferred Morning Shake
It’s simple, all that’s needed is my Naked Nutrition Almond Protein Powder, almonds, and almond milk. It’s quick, easy and it’s usually made within five minutes before going to work.
